We'll Wait Till Jesus Comes
Elizabeth Mills
O land of rest, for thee I sigh!
When will the moment come
When I shall lay my armor by
And dwell in peace at home?
We'll wait till Jesus comes,
We'll wait till Jesus comes;
We'll wait till Jesus comes,
And we'll be gathered home.
To Jesus Christ I fled for rest;
He bade me cease to roam,
And lean for succor on His breast
Till He conducts me home.
We'll wait till Jesus comes,
We'll wait till Jesus comes;
We'll wait till Jesus comes,
And we'll be gathered home.
We'll wait till Jesus comes,
And we'll be gathered home.
I sought at once my Savior's side,
No more my steps shall roam:
With Him I'll brave death's chilling tide,
And reach my heav'nly home.
We'll wait till Jesus comes,
We'll wait till Jesus comes;
We'll wait till Jesus comes,
And we'll be gathered home.

Wonderful hymn. I look forward to hearing the tune and singing it with you this next weekend. I can't wait for our meeting, and I can't wait to hear more about this past weekend. Miss you!
Lyd - thanks for getting a copy of that hymn! As you know, I love hymns, especially soul-stirring ones like this one.
I can't wait to sing it with our congregation this weekend. Sister Betty and Sister Barb both knew it and had sung it before, so I think they're excited about it, too!
well, thank goodness for that little copier at my house, huh? :)
It is a lovely song.
