***Our 5 1/2 month old Golden Retriever, Wilson, is very sick with parvovirus. It is a very serious and contagious virus for dogs. We took him to the vet yesterday morning and they were concerned he wouldn't make it through the night. He was given fluids and antibiotics at the vet and I gave him Gatorade with a syringe through the night. Thankfully, he made it through the night and seems to be on his way to recovery. He isn't out of the woods yet, but he seems to be a fighter.
I realize that most people think, "What's the big deal? It's just a dog." However, he is part of our family and a constant companion to me. He helps to fill a void and provides much joy in our lives. Wilson, Wesley, and Jake are more than "just dogs" to our family. Yes, we're those kind of people!
